Teaching for Transformation (TfT) is the framework that helps us do this. It ensures that every classroom experience points students toward living faithfully, courageously, and purposefully.

What is Teaching for Transformation?
Teaching for Transformation is a model of Christian education that helps students see their learning as part of God’s big story. Rather than separating faith and academics, TfT weaves them together so that every subject, every project, and every relationship connects to the deeper calling of being Christ’s ambassadors in the world

We actively pursue and build Christ-like community in our classrooms, neighborhoods, and in the global village. Our work and our living promotes peaceful, shalom-filled communities.
Creation Enjoyer
We explore and celebrate God’s beautiful creation, giving testimony to the presence of God in creation. Ordinary things become extraordinary when we look at, talk about, and study God’s creation.

We respond to God’s call to be stewards of all creation. As caretakers and gardeners of all creation, we reclaim and relearn how to respectfully treat the world and all things in it.
God Worshippers
We celebrate who God is. We celebrate what God has done and is doing. We celebrate what God has created. We stand in awe and wonder of God and His promises. Worship is a way of life at Avail!
Idolatry Discerner
We strive to love God more than anyone or anything else by recognizing the truth through learning about God and His word. All things belong to Him and are to be used for His purposes.
Image Reflector
We bear the image of God in our daily living; it’s who we are as we reflect God’s image, and we learn to see God’s image in others. The more Christ-like our actions, the more clearly Christ’s light shines in a dark world.
Justice Seeker
The world is not as God intended it to be; therefore, we must recognize the injustices in this world and act as agents of restoration to the injustices in our world.
Order Discoverer
We see God’s fingerprints all over creation. When we discover the amazing order within creation, we help fulfill His plans and purposes for it.
Servant Worker
We actively work to heal brokenness and bring joy to individuals and culture. We cultivate the desire and ability to offer hope, healing, and restoration to this world and its people in gratitude for the sacrifice of our Savior Jesus Christ.
