PreK Extended Day/Before & After-School Care

PURPOSE: To provide the highest quality after-school care for our PreK students.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

We are looking for someone who loves Jesus and preschool-age children to care for students before and after school, Monday through Friday, beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, at Avail Academy's Blaine campus.

  • Testimony of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. 
  • Has a maturing relationship with Christ and His church.
  • Desires to disciple others. 
  • Unreserved commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Avail Academy. 
  • Ability to abide by the policies, procedures, and practices of Avail Academy. 
  • Can subscribe without mental reservation to the Statement of Faith of Avail Academy. 
  • A passion for Christian education. 
  • Effective communication skills: written, verbal, and interpersonal. 
  • Derives satisfaction from serving as a team player in a collaborative environment. 

Position Specific

  • At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma and more than 2,000 hours of child care experience. 
  • If the candidate has a baccalaureate degree (in any field), no additional prior child care hours are required.
  • Currently certified in pediatric first aid and CPR, or willing to be certified.
  • Willing to participate in yearly training that occurs both online and in person.
  • Able to pass a background check.   

SALARY AND BENEFITS

  • $20 per hour
  • Includes Earned Sick and Safe Time accrual.
