School Transition

Avail Academy is undergoing a structural realignment to launch two independent sister schools:

  • Edina (PreK–8)

  • North School (PreK–12, currently Blaine and Fridley campuses)

Both schools will share the same mission, vision, values, and Reformed Christian foundation while operating as distinct schools with their own names, leadership structure, and local identity.

This page serves as the central source for updates, timelines, frequently asked questions, and important announcements throughout the transition.

How This May Impact You

Current Edina Families, Students, Faculty, and Staff

You should see minimal day-to-day change over the next two years. The academic programs, campus community, and overall experience will remain consistent. As the transition progresses, Edina will continue as Avail Academy. We will communicate any changes as they occur.

Blaine and Fridley Families, Students, Faculty, and Staff

You will be part of the launch of a new, unified school serving PreK–12 students. This includes the development of:

  • A new school name
  • A new athletics identity and mascot
  • A new visual brand and school identity

Throughout the process, you will be invited to provide input through structured opportunities during the discovery phase. These changes are designed to strengthen identity, continuity, and long-term growth for the North School.

Prospective and New Families

Admissions and enrollment processes will continue without interruption. Avail Academy will guide all prospective families through a clear and consistent process during the transition. As the new North School is launched, admissions information will be clearly labeled to help families understand each school’s identity and offerings.
